Typical day
8:15 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. After-school care
8:30 a.m. Class starts
8:30-11 a.m. Montessori work
Children work freely with the activities they already know, the teacher guides the children in their choices and suggests new activities in order to broaden their knowledge. The learning areas are:
- Practical life (activities aimed at developing autonomy and concentration)
- Sensory activities (touch, taste, weight, size, etc.)
- Mathematics
- The language
- Zoology
- Geography
- The sciences
11 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Group time, Circle Time!
The children gather with the teacher. They recite poems, sing. It is time to discuss the date, the weather, to approach a particular theme (e.g. dinosaurs, living in a castle, what climate in which continent? What does hibernation mean? How to greet someone?...) or to present a classmate's presentation.
11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Recreation
12 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. Lunch (lunch box or canteen of your choice)
1:15 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Nap or outdoor time (games, explorations, gardening)
2 p.m. - 4 p.m. Montessori activities / Plastic arts / Yoga / according to the afternoon schedule
Once a week, each child benefits from a private music lesson in addition to these activities.
4 p.m.-6 p.m. After-school care
